Steph Curry adds eSports to his portfolio with investment in team TSM
Golden State Warriors star and 2x MVP Steph Curry is part of an investment group that has led a $37million investment round in esports organization TSM, according to Matt Perez at Forbes. Curry, a seasoned investor in his own right, has joined Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, former SF 49ers QB Steve Young and teammate Andre Iguodala in a Series A funding round with TSM's parent company, Swift. The investment could help expand a fast-growing product, with $20 million expected to go toward franchising fees and a new esports facility in Los Angeles.
Curry, who signed a five-year, $201 million contract last summer, has been an aggressive investor over the past few years.
